The primary purpose of HealthWorks is to assure that foster children from birth to age 21 receive comprehensive quality health care. Upon entry into the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) custody, each foster child must receive a Comprehensive Health Evaluation within 21 days to determine the child’s health status. HealthWorks is a collaboration between WES Health System and the Department of Children and Family Services, the Illinois Department of Human Services and Aunt Martha’s-Chrysalis HealthWorks Joint Venture.
HealthWorks provides access to and referrals for:
- Primary Health Care Physicians

HealthWorks has doctors who will treat children in the custody of DCFS. These services include Initial Health Screening, Comprehensive Health Evaluations and ongoing health care.
